Poetry & Yoga Retreat in Portugal
with Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer & Erika Moss
April 8 - 15, 2028
Join us for seven nights of poetry and yoga in Portugal’s Alentejo countryside, near the Atlantic coast. A week of slowing down and nature devoted to the body, the heart, and the imagination.
The Setting: Quinta Camarena
Tucked into the hills of Portugal’s Alentejo region, just 15 minutes from the wild Atlantic coast, Quinta Camarena is an intimate boutique retreat set on nearly 10 acres of private cork oak and pine forest, gardens, and walking trails. With beautifully designed rooms, a forest yoga studio, an infinity pool, and seasonal meals featuring ingredients grown on the property and sourced locally, it offers a distinctive blend of natural beauty, thoughtful hospitality, and the unhurried rhythm of Portuguese country life.
AS FEATURED IN:
A Sense of Place
In one direction, walking trails lead straight from the property into the surrounding hills and forest, with miles of countryside to explore. In the other, a twelve-minute walk brings you to a small Portuguese village, where you can stop for coffee, wander the streets, or simply watch the day unfold.
Food at Quinta Camarena comes from the gardens and orchards, with the rest coming from nearby farmers, fishers, and producers. Meals follow the seasons and the rhythms of the place.
The owners, who have been welcoming guests here since 2020, begin with a tour of the property - an invitation to get to know the land and the place we'll call home for the week.
There is room here for movement and stillness, for conversation and solitude, for following a trail just to see where it goes…
